My name is Linda and I live in Phoenix, Az  with my husband, 4 rescued dogs – Jake, Tobi and Charlie and Sam, and a cat named Sam that found me when he was almost dead 12 yrs ago. I also have 9 parrots – 4 of which are rescues or weren’t wanted anymore. I love these guys with all my heart and more than life. In the last 25 years, I have also had 5 horses that I miss dearly. Along with other dogs, cat, hamsters and a turtle.

When I’m not doing something with my guys, I have my face in a book. I also am an avid very amateur photographer – mostly critters and landscapes. I am in the middle of writing a short story and have written 2 books about Charlie.

Jake was adopted September 2006  from Friends 4 Life in Gilbert, Az. He was about 3 years old and had been running the streets for most of that time.

Tobi was adopted from Home Fur Good in Phoenix, Az in October 2011. He was a stray that was picked up running the streets.

Both Jake and Tobi were on the ‘kill’ list at the shelter.

And, of course, Charlie from Ruby Ranch Rescue Phoenix, Az on June 1, 2013

And July 18, 2015 along came Sams (Samson). He is a Standard Poodle that was 61/2 months old. Sadly, he was kept in a backyard with is mother and brother. Never had seen anything else. Sigh….it’s been a trip

    Hello Linda,

I wanted to purchase “Through Charlie’s Eyes” book. However, I am redirected to a site called WEEBLY, and I am guessing you have to be a member. I am not of Facebook and would love to read Charlie’s amazing story.

  2. Aww, that’s awesome. One of my goals in life is to be surrounded by animals. I’m such an avid animal lover I don’t think I can exist without having any pets. ❤
